Privacy policy
FLOGVIT is run by Vegard Hanssen. The service can be used without an account and without anything being stored about you with us. This page explains what is stored when you choose to use an account and FLOGVIT.plus.
Storage on your device
Game progress (boards in progress, solved puzzles, streak, settings) is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is not sent to us as long as you are not logged in. We use no tracking or analytics tools and no third-party cookies for tracking. Logged-in users get a necessary session cookie, and settings (theme/language) are stored in a preference cookie (fv-prefs).
The puzzles apps and the duel
FLOGVIT.puzzles for iPhone and Android keeps your progress on the phone. Signed in, the app sends what the website sends: your sign-in (the app keeps a token in the phone’s keychain, never your password) and, with FLOGVIT.plus, your solved puzzles and boards in progress. In a duel, your display name and your moves go to the duel server, and the other player sees your name; your duel results, your rating and how many duels you have played today are stored with your account, and a finished game can be replayed to another player when nobody is free. The apps have no ads, no tracking and no analytics tools. Everything is deleted with your account.
FLOGVIT.photosuite and its apps
FLOGVIT.photosuite, on your computers and in the iPhone and Android apps, keeps your pictures on your own devices. Signed in, we store: your licence and the devices it is activated on (their name and an id the device gives the app); with FLOGVIT.plus, the marks, edits, captions and albums you sync between your devices, and the previews you choose to keep on them, counted in your storage; the pictures you publish to your gallery or to an event on eventphotos; names you write in Capture, with the consent of the person photographed; and feedback you send from the app, with the log, crash report and screenshot you leave ticked. Pictures are never uploaded unless you sync or publish them. The apps have no ads, no tracking and no analytics tools. Everything is deleted with your account.
Usage statistics
We count visits per product and country, on our own server. The country is looked up from the IP address and the visit is counted with a hash salted anew every day; the IP address itself is never stored or sent anywhere, and nothing is linked to your account.
What we store with an account
- Email address, display name and a cryptographically hashed password (scrypt) — never the password in plain text.
- With FLOGVIT.plus: solving statistics and favourites (which puzzles you have solved, time, date), so your progress can follow you between devices.
- Subscription status from the payment provider (see below).
We send email only for account confirmation, password reset and receipts for FLOGVIT.plus activation. Sending is done via Scaleway Transactional Email in the EU (Paris region). No newsletters, no sharing of your address.
Payment
FLOGVIT.plus and image storage are paid through Stripe, which through its Link service is the merchant of record and controller for the payment itself. Card data and billing details are stored with Stripe — never with us. We only receive subscription status and a customer/subscription reference. See Stripe's own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
App Store
In the iPhone app, FLOGVIT.plus can also be bought in the App Store. Apple takes the payment and keeps the payment details; we receive the signed transaction (product, period and Apple’s order reference) to give your account FLOGVIT.plus. You manage and cancel the subscription in your App Store account settings; deleting your FLOGVIT account does not cancel it.
Your rights
You can view and change your account information at any time on the account page, and delete the account with all associated progress there ("Delete account"). Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. For access, correction or other requests: support@flogvit.com.
